Research shows that parents play a key role in student success. In fact, according to the research of the National Education Association, students with involved parents are more likely to earn higher grades, pass their classes, attend school regularly, have better social skills, and go on to college. This is true regardless of family income or background.
So this back to school season, think about ways you can better support your child’s school or preschool. When parents volunteer in the classroom, donate supplies, chaperone field trips, and attend teacher conferences, their children reap the rewards.
